Installing the NCE 29L Convection Microwave
If the NCE 29L Convection Microwave is being built into caravan cabinetry, the installation needs to account for both the cabinet opening and adequate ventilation.
The dedicated NCE29LCONVTK NCE 29L Convection Microwave Trim Kit is a two-piece bracket assembly made up of a top rail and fascia trim. The top rail includes three M5 mounting screws.
Cabinet and ventilation requirements
The official NCE installation guide specifies the following internal cabinet requirements when fitting the NCE 29L Convection Microwave with the trim kit.
Ventilation is an installation requirement. The total ventilation area must be at least 252cm² and can be achieved through one or more openings. NCE recommends positioning ventilation high on the cabinet because heat naturally rises. The 252cm² requirement is separate from ventilation already built into the trim kit.
How the trim kit installation works
The official installation guide breaks the fitment into four main stages.
Install the top rail
Fit the top rail into the cabinet opening so it sits flush with the face of the cabinetry.
Attach the fascia trim
Position the fascia trim on the front of the microwave so both faces sit flush, then secure it to the microwave chassis using four 6g self-drilling pan head screws no longer than 15mm.
Insert the microwave
Feed the 240V power cord through the cabinetry toward the nearest outlet, then carefully slide the microwave and attached fascia into the cabinet opening.
Secure the trim kit
Use the three supplied M5 screws to secure the top of the fascia to the top rail, then fasten the bottom of the fascia to the cabinet through the three mounting holes using appropriate screws.
The four 6g self-drilling pan head screws used to attach the fascia to the microwave and the screws used for the bottom fascia mounting are user supplied. The four self-drilling screws must be no longer than 15mm.
